ANY CHANCE OF A CLEARER SKIN

who ever is admin on here is it possible to maybe change the skin colour i am struggling to read and see what post is what. hope this is ok ^^

what colour u fancy i can give some others a whirl but only thing is bud chose it i dont really want to offend him by changing it

well i'm not an admin here but just so ya know i've got over 10+ years exp dealing with websites and various forums and portals that i've worked with over the years... this one is of course phpbb which i've used quite alot and am quite familiar with... i could try and help come up with a good design and help out if ya want.... just let me know

sounds cool to me m8 , the more help we can get the better, me and bud have no clue how to do this. this forum is maily down to Jimbo1234 who has put in alot of work and time which is greatly apreciated by all. my best bet is for you to have a word with Jimbo1234

i did have a chat with darkman last night, i did say to him have a chat with marky and bud becuase by doing this i think the it would mean by switching sites again, but this site only will allow 10mb of files which for us is not alot, e.g about 100 screenies but with darks host there is almost endless amount of space there, plus with php it means alot more adons easier a propper arcad can be added and much easier to manage aswell

its really up to you guys, if you want u could keep this site up while me and dark work on the other, when its done we will let you all know,

but with php it can get buggy so it could be a little longer for me or dark to sort out, but not to much longer

PHP is notoriously a pain in the ass because of the amount of times it gets hacked (as does phpbb). If its disk space thats the issue, then I have my own web server located on my own web connection at home which i run a couple of other web sites off of with proper domain names (e.g. pinewoodjudo.com for my judo club only a basic one but takes a fair few hits from all over the world and also my own domain for my old business which i just use as a dumping ground).

One thing I would say is though, before making any changes make a backup of the mysql database so you can simply restore it. That way nobody has to re-registster. I personally would suggest not bothering with the arcade side of things as this is what takes up alot of the bandwidth and disk space. The main thing you want is the forum and then customise the graphics (something I aint any good with - photoshop etc.). You can then decide what else you want at a later date.

I also have my own server which is located at a very secure datacenter. PHP can be a pain yes. I have a portal system that i've used for quite a few years now that works with several different forums. I mostly use the free phpbb forums as they are free for one and they have alot of addons and such that can be used and the templates for the forums and the MK Portal i use i'm quite familiar working with. I've been in Networking for 15+ yrs and have been working with Graphics and Websites for well over 10yrs. I did talk with Jimbo1234 and told him i'm happy to purchase a domain name for the Guild and put it on my server for the Guild to use and will help him design and maintain everything. It will be permanent and no more worries about switching sites. Plus the Guild having it's own site with it's own domain name looks alot better...
Seems that bud and marky are both cool with it so i'll get with Jimbo1234 on it and we'll work on building something that everyone will be able to use and that will look and work great!!!

Just so ya know about the domain names i've checked on.
getinthehole.com is taken already so we can't get that one.
gith.com was taken as well so no hope there.
getintheholeguild.com is available so I could get that one.
githguild.com is also available so I could get that one.
All i need to know is which one you all like the best and i'll get it and set it all up.
